This policy explains how VSKT Tech Private Limited ("VSKT Tech", "we", "us") — the company behind Udveka, CIN U62010DL2024PTC439566 — collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use Udveka. Under India’s data protection law, VSKT Tech is the data fiduciary for this data.
To prepare a reading we need birth details: a name, a date of birth, a birth time and a birth place. We use them only to cast the chart and write the reading — for nothing else.
To run your account, we collect your email address, to sign you in and reach you about your readings, and — only if you choose to turn it on — a WhatsApp number, which we verify with a one-time code before we use it.
If you pay from outside India, we also ask for a phone number, because card payments from outside India need one. We pass it to Razorpay with that payment and keep it so you are not asked again. We do not use it for anything else.
When you open Udveka from one of our links, posts or ads, we note the short name we gave that link, such as “instagram, story”. If you come from a search engine or another app, we note only its name, such as “google”. A small cookie keeps this for up to 90 days, and we save it with your account when you sign up or pay. We use it only to learn which of our links work.
If you ask a question about a reading, we keep the question so we can answer it, and treat it as sensitively as your birth details.
If you pay for a reading or a membership, our payment partner Razorpay collects your payment details directly — Udveka never sees or stores your card or bank account number, only whether a payment succeeded.
We use your birth details to cast your chart and write your reading. We use your email to send you account and reading updates, and — only once you’ve verified and turned it on — your WhatsApp number to let you know a reading is ready; that message names who the reading is for, since you may be reading for someone else, and it only ever goes to your own verified number. We use payment and account activity to run memberships and answer support questions.
A de-identified, aggregated summary of a reading — with no name, date, place or other detail that could point back to you — may be kept afterward, only to help us prepare better readings for others in future.
To write your reading we send the birth details it rests on — the name it is for, and the date, time and place of birth — and, for a question reading, the text of your question, to our technology partner, Anthropic. Anthropic processes them on our instructions and returns the reading. We do not send your email address, your WhatsApp number, or your payment details.
Anthropic is based outside India, so this processing happens outside India as well. Like every other partner, they may not use your data for their own purposes, and Udveka does not use your readings or your questions to train any system.
We share what’s needed, and no more: our technology partner, Anthropic, to write your reading; our payment partner to take payment; our email and WhatsApp delivery partners to reach you; the hosting and storage providers that keep Udveka running; and the messaging service our own team uses, so we always know when someone joins, asks for a reading or a kundli, gets one, or closes their account. A kundli request message shows the person’s name, email and WhatsApp number. We also tell Meta a little about some people in India, as the next part explains. Apart from Meta, none of them may use your data for their own purposes. We never sell your birth details, and we don’t hand them to anyone who doesn’t need them to prepare or deliver your reading.
We show ads for Udveka on Instagram and Facebook, which belong to Meta. To learn which ads work, and to show them to people more likely to want them, we tell Meta when someone who came from one of our ads opens our kundli page, and when someone signs up, starts a payment or pays.
We send Meta only these things: the code Meta adds to our ad links, the kind of phone and browser you use, a scrambled code made from your email that cannot be turned back into your email, a scrambled code for your account, and what you bought and for how much. We never send your name, your email itself, your phone number, your birth details, your kundli, your readings or your questions.
We do this only for people in India, and only for accounts made after we started doing it. Meta’s code does not run on our pages; we send these few things from our own servers. Meta may also use them under its own privacy policy.
To stop Meta using this to choose the ads you see, open Accounts Centre in Instagram or Facebook and go to Ad preferences.
Some of the partners above are based outside India, so your data may be processed there as well as in India. Wherever it’s processed, we hold every partner to the same standard of care we hold ourselves to.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting provider. Access inside VSKT Tech is limited to what a task needs, and we keep records of who accessed what. No storage of data is ever perfectly unbreakable, but we built Udveka to keep as little of your data as we can, for as short a time as we can.
We keep your birth details and readings for as long as your account is open. If you deactivate your account, we keep it, with your birth details, readings and kundli, until you sign in again or ask us to delete it. If you choose Delete my data, VSKT Tech removes your birth details, your readings, your questions, your kundli and — if you turned it on — your WhatsApp number. Behind-the-scenes technical traces of how a reading was prepared are always deleted within 180 days, whether or not you’ve closed your account. A record that a payment happened is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, without your name or email. We also keep a scrambled code made from your email, so the same email does not get a second free kundli or free reading; it cannot be turned back into your email. A de-identified summary of a reading may be kept afterward, as described above.
Under India’s data protection law you have the right to: know what data we hold about you and why; correct it if it’s wrong or out of date; ask us to erase it; withdraw any consent you’ve given, as easily as you gave it; and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you’re unable to. You can see, update or delete most of your data directly from your account settings — for anything else, or if you have a concern, write to us at support@udveka.com.
You must be 18 or older to hold a Udveka account. A reading can be for someone younger — a child, for instance — but only with the confirmation of their parent or guardian, given by the account holder before the reading begins. We don’t knowingly collect data directly from anyone under 18, and we never use birth details for advertising of any kind.
If you have a concern about how VSKT Tech handles your data, write to us at support@udveka.com. We acknowledge a complaint within 72 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days, in line with India’s data protection law.
We may update this policy as Udveka grows. The date at the top tells you when we last did; if a change is significant, we’ll tell you directly rather than leave you to notice it.
